HOMEPASTOR BRUCE JACOBS
Bruce was born and raised on a farm in Macon County. He graduated from Macon High School in 1975 and Millikin University in 1979. He married his high school sweetheart Cheryl Sullivan, December 30, 1977. Bruce then graduated from Garrett Theological Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University in 1987 preparing for ordination in the United Methodist Church. Bruce served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church for 15 years before deciding to return to Macon County and start an independent, non-denominational church.
The Jacobs' have three boys Ryan (42), Drew (36) and Cody (30). Drew blessed the family with our grandchildren Emma who is fourteen years old and Jackson who is eleven years old. Ryan blessed us in 2015 with our third grandchild Aiden Jacobs.
Cheryl retired from Hickory Point Bank after 22 years of service with the Archer Daniels Midland Company with several stops in between while the family moved around through the United Methodist system.
Ryan works in Springfield. Drew lives with his family in Springfield where he works. Cody graduated from the University of Illinois and works for ADM in Decatur.
